Galapagos UK

We are Galapagos UK, a pioneering biotechnology company, with the ambition of becoming a leading bio tech company, focused on making a difference to people with inflammatory and fibrotic diseases. With our pioneering spirit we aim to make a lasting, positive contribution to society by delivering breakthrough medicines we have discovered to patients. We believe in ‘we’ not ‘us’ and together with the inflammation healthcare community, we will continue to push the possibilities of our work to tackle chronic disease and improve the lives of patients.

The UK operation of Galapagos was set up in 2020, aiming to offer patients in the UK new and improved treatment options for unmet medical needs in therapeutic areas like inflammation and fibrosis, with an initial focus on ulcerative colitis in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and rheumatoid arthritis.

We are committed to science-driven innovation and a culture of courage, determination and speed of action . We are looking forward to working collaboratively with the NHS in the UK to take advantage of the momentum and speed of change that has gathered pace during the pandemic to deliver ground-breaking treatment programmes to patients.

Dansac

Our History

We have been providing innovative solutions for people with a stoma, clinicians, and caregivers for more than four decades.

Dansac was founded in 1971 in Fredensborg, Denmark. Since then, Dansac has become part of Hollister Incorporated, which is located in Libertyville, Illinois, USA.

Our products are sold in more than 30 countries around the world.

Our Brand Values

Dedication

We are dedicated to our customers — both people living with a stoma and those who care for them. It is our commitment to help overcome the physical, social, and psychological repercussions of stoma formation making life easier and better.

Collaboration

Working closely together with our customers means that we are able to have an open dialogue, enabling us to understand their needs and work together to identify and develop functional products, personalised tools and services which support both end users and healthcare professionals.

Authenticity

In everything we do and say, it is important for us that we are true to who we are and what we believe in — this is what makes us credible and trustworthy. As a company dealing with very personal challenges, it is our responsibility to be honest and straightforward, internally as well as externally. We deal with real people, real lives, and real stomas — we must be respectful, reliable, and truthful.

NHS Professionals

Established in 2001 as a special Health Authority (SpHA) and then as a limited company in 2010, NHS Professionals puts people in places to care within NHS Trusts and the wider healthcare system in England.  We have over 50 client Trusts and 180,000 healthcare professionals (Bank Members) registered with us.

Uniquely, we stand apart from other recruitment organisations since we are owned by the Department of Health and Social Care, supporting the implementation of major staffing improvements. This means that in 2020-21, over £15million was re-invested back into the wider health economy in addition to associated workforce efficiencies and savings made by individual NHS Trusts.

Our objectives are aligned with those of the NHS and our teams use their specialist healthcare recruitment knowledge to deliver bespoke talent solutions both domestically and internationally.

Our vision is to be recognised as the flexible workforce partner of choice for the NHS and wider healthcare system.
